In spite of the fact that so many people in our Post Modern age have rejected belief in the Creator God of the Bible and so many others [increasingly so] are turning to false gods – the One true God has not given up on mankind yet – His offer of eternal life hasn’t been withdrawn. It remains valid and in operation while this life remains.

No matter who you are, what your life has been, how old you are, what you have done, whether you follow another religion, are an occultist, are a complete atheist, humanist, or simply consider yourself an ‘ordinary’ person doing the best you can –  and that pretty much covers everyone I think –   God’s offer in Christ the Saviour is open to you.

‘Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; all things are become new. And all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ and given to us the ministry of reconciliation, to wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them; and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you, in Christ’s stead, be reconciled to God. For He has made Him to be sin for us, Who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.’

So – the big question is – will you believe it?  Ultimately there’s that little matter of ‘Faith’.  Your choice – believe it and be reconciled or carry on ignoring it?

If you’ve read this far , you could well be thinking it simply boils down to personal preference eg ‘I’m not a religious person so I don’t need to bother myself with all this – God isn’t relevant in my life so this message is meaningless for me personally. What’s right for you isn’t necessarily right for me thank you very much. But I’m happy for you.’

Well – the reason it is urgent and applicable to every single person on the planet is because the Gospel addresses your eternal destiny when your life is over – what then?

My next post will cover the answer to this important question –  I do hope you will join me,

blessings,   Eileen

First – I apologise that I haven’t posted for some time again … life has a habit of getting in the way you know.

Sometimes I hear something said or I read something that triggers off a question in my mind  ‘now – where have I heard that before?’  ‘Do No Harm’ is one such and I still can’t remember where or when I first heard it – however, I felt sure it was connected to the Occult world – maybe white witches?

Very recently during an email exchange, the person said their life’s intention and rule to live by is ‘Do No Harm’.  It set my curiosity going because of the way the phrase was capitalised as I’m used to unbelievers saying that their philosophy [ borrowed from the words of Jesus of course] is to ‘do to others as they would be done by’, but this was something different and peculiar – is it a slogan ? and is its meaning positive or negative?

Well, after doing my usual on line search  – I’ve come to the conclusion it is very negative!

My search didn’t reveal any direct occult origin and Wikipedia links it to the Hypocratic Oath – as in Doctors doing no harm to their patients. But in modern times the phrase has been adopted by a group ,set up by the UN, to go into areas of conflict all over the globe with the aim of bringing together all sides to relieve the suffering of people caught up in it. [A very noble aim you may think].  From there it seems to have developed into a psychological system within the Business/Management world. [NB: I can’t seem to paste a direct link – but if you do a google search for  Do No Harm pdf  you will see a comprehensive list of pdfs used by various govt.bodies, covering their teachings and aims].

After reading some of this stuff you will see how much it has infiltrated and influenced our daily lives and cultures and accounts for all the extreme, silly, and downright dangerous political correctness enforced everywhere. It’s all rooted in the philosophy of avoiding conflict above all else and at all costs. I believe it certainly accounts for all the tolerance shown towards the current terrible, aggressive, violent and sick onslaught from Islam  –  all done in the foolish notion of avoiding conflict !

But, to do that, they have to sacrifice TRUTH. The truth that is the root cause of any problem in the first place is ignored. Instead it is papered over with finding what unites and ignoring what divides. This philosophy of course is what a lot of the Churches are engaged in with each other – falsely declaring it to be a unity of the Spirit of God.

Part of the Do No Harm teaching is headed ‘Dividers and Connectors’ and I will give a few of them here:

“Dividers are those things or factors that increase tensions between people or groups and may lead to destructive competition” [ Me: this accounts for the abandonment of healthy competition in our schools now – in sport and in academic achievement].

“Connectors are those things or factors that reduce tensions between people or groups and lead to and undergird constructive collaboration. We also use the phrase ” local capacities for peace”.  [ Me: eg non- condemnation of Islam for what it does]

“People who study and practise Do No Harm are adaptable” [they try to cover all options] [Me: they don’t analyse the conflict itself, they analyse the ‘context’ of it. In other words – they refuse to get involved in the root cause of the conflict. There is no right or wrong or Truth to be had!]

“Not everything that is wrong in a community is a Divider” [Me:  so that makes it ok to ignore –  see no evil, speak no evil and hear no evil]

There are many more rules listed but I haven’t time to mention them all. You can read them in the pdf.  Of course – it goes without saying that their philosophy of tolerance and harmony does not stretch to people who reject their teachings ie Bible believing Christians, as we can see more and more in our news media. You must conform , you are not allowed a personal conscience!

I will finish with some words from Dean Gotcher : “The word of God is a word of conflict between the flesh and the spirit, eternal life and eternal death”.  and  ” God chastens those He loves. Such chastening would appear harmful to a psychologist, since he would see having to do God’s will above all things, including reproving, correcting and rebuking someone else for doing wrong or for sinning, as being harmful to initiating or sustaining relationship with them”.

Please feel free to leave a comment

God bless ,   Eileen
